The UPPCC recently announced a process for current C.P.M. certificants to
BRIDGE their certification to UPPCC public sector certification. The Council is now accepting applications from C.P.M. certificants
interested in taking advantage of this bridge opportunity.
Individuals wishing to bridge to either the (Certified
Public Purchasing Officer) CPPO or (Certified Professional Public Buyer) CPPB certifications must meet all applicable eligibility
requirements. The process will assess the candidate’s knowledge of public procurement practice (e.g. laws, regulations,
etc.)
C.P.M. to CPPO candidates (who hold
at least a bachelor’s degree) = Oral exam only, written exam waived
C.P.M. to CPPB candidates = Abbreviated written exam consisting of 50 public sector procurement
questions
Frequently Asked Questions, developed by the UPPCC, http://www.nigp.org/Cert/FAQs.htm will answer a few of the questions C.P.M. certificants may have in navigating
the bridging process.
If you have QUESTIONS or would like to pursue this opportunity, please contact Cindy White, Seminar Coordinator atclwhite@ccccd.edu.
